PALMITOYL PENTAPEPTIDE-4

Palmitoyl-Pentapeptid-4 ist ein Peptid, das als Reaktionsprodukt von Palmitinsäure und Pentapeptid-4 gewonnen wird. Es wird auch Matrixyl genannt und besteht aus einer kurzen Peptidkette mit fünf Aminosäuren (Lysin, Threonin, Threonin, Lysin, Serin), die an Palmitinsäure gebunden ist.

Palmitoyl-Pentapeptid-4 ist ein biologisch aktives Peptid, über welches berichtet wird, dass es die Produktion von Elastin, Fibronektin, Glucosaminoglycan und Kollagenen (insbesondere Typ I, III und IV) anregen sowie bei der Wundheilung unterstützen könnte.1 Es erwies sich in Studien als wirksam bei der Reduzierung von periorbitalen Falten, indem es die Faltentiefe reduzierte sowie die Hautbarrierefunktion und Hautelastizität erhöhte.
