DR. EMI ARPA
As a specialist in dermatology, Dr. Emi Arpa has been working in her own practice for aesthetic dermatology in Berlin Charlottenburg since 2021. On social media, she takes her steadily growing community on an educational, entertaining, and at the same time very personal journey around the topic of skin health.
Inspired by her father, who was unable to study medicine in Turkey, Dr. Emi Arpa laid the foundation for an extraordinary career with her own medical studies.
Dr. Emi Arpa studied and earned her doctorate at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). She spent part of her studies on professional development at the Berlin Charité as well as abroad, including in South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey.
During her studies, she became enthusiastic about aesthetic and dermatological treatments and specialized in aesthetic dermatology and skin surgery after her licensing.
During her residency, Dr. Emi Arpa practiced with renowned dermatologists Prof. Dr. Steinkraus at the Dermatologikum Hamburg and Prof. Dr. Augustin at the UKE, and worked in Switzerland to deepen her aesthetic medical specialization.
At the age of seven, Dr. Emi Arpa came to Germany from Turkey with her family. Growing up with the understanding that education is a privilege, the dermatologist still sees it as her personal obligation to pass on knowledge to others.
Because throughout her career, Dr. Arpa found that many patients – due to limited resources among dermatologists and an opaque product offering – lack sufficient information about their skin health and the individually tailored care.
To provide better orientation, Dr. Arpa chose an unconventional path until then: social media. In no time at all, their informative contributions reached thousands of people.
Inspired by the lively exchange with her community as well as her personal conviction that a new transparency in skincare is necessary, Dr. Emi Arpa eventually began developing her own skincare products.
