The active ingredient combination of our retinal serum consisting of 0.1% retinal, 5 peptides, and soothing ingredients such as 10% pre- and postbiotics is specifically designed to improve skin elasticity, counteract fine lines and wrinkles, and provides a foundation to combat impurities. Ectoin and Allantoin can have soothing, antioxidant, and intensely moisturizing effects. It's absolutely amazing!

10% pre- and postbiotics support the skin microbiome, have anti-inflammatory and soothing effects.

0.1% Retinal (encapsulated) promotes collagen synthesis, increases skin elasticity, improves skin texture, can lighten pigmentation spots, and unclogs pores.

Skin type

With its high retinal concentration of 0.1%, Absolute A+ Serum is suitable for normal skin, dry skin, combination skin, oily skin, dehydrated skin, blemish-prone skin and acne-prone skin. Sensitive and redness-prone skin conditions should use the Absolute A Serum and start with a lower frequency of application.

Important note: When using, the morning application of sun protection, ideally SPF 50, is strongly recommended, as the ingredients can increase the skin's sensitivity to light.

Application in the evening. After using The Ten out of Ten Cleanser, apply a pump of the serum to dry skin and massage gently into the face, neck and décolleté. Avoid the eye area and particularly sensitive skin areas. Due to the slightly exfoliating effect of the Essential Essence Toner, it should be slowly incorporated into the same routine as the Absolute A/A+ Serum. To do this, the face should be allowed to dry completely after using the Essential Essence Toner and then the Absolute A+ Serum should be applied as described. To complete the routine, apply the Barrier Boost CPA Barrier Cream.

Application note: After applying Absolute A+ Retinal Serum, use a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) the next morning and on the following days and avoid direct sunlight.

APPLICATION

Application note:

NOTE

Use only as indicated. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin.

Avoid eye contact. If the product should still get into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clear water. In case of irritation, the application should be paused for a few days (keyword: Skin Purging).

RETINAL

How do I incorporate the Retinal Serum into my routine?

The basic routine we recommend is as follows: Cleanse, Prepare, TREAT, Moisturize. TREAT stands here initially for the Absolute A series, more products will follow. To minimize skin irritation, the retinal sandwich method can be applied: After cleansing with the Ten out of Ten Cleanser, apply the Barrier Boost Cream, followed by the Absolute A/A+ Serum, and finally a thin layer of Barrier Boost CPA Barrier Repair Cream.

Can I use the Absolute A/A+ series during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

No, during pregnancy and breastfeeding it is not recommended to use products with retinoids. The use of products containing retinoids can be problematic during this time, as excessive amounts of vitamin A can be harmful to the unborn child or the breastfeeding baby.

When can I use the advanced product Absolute A+?

If you have already had experience with retinoids (e.g., retinol/retinal) and use them regularly without irritation, Absolute A+ is the right serum for you. Important to note: 0.1% retinal is approximately equivalent to the effect of 1% retinol, so it's best to start with a low application frequency!

What short-term undesirable reactions may occur? Can it lead to 'skin purging'?

We attach great importance in minimizing the irritation potential of retinal in our formulation by adding soothing and nourishing ingredients such as 10% prebiotics and postbiotics, ceramides, 5 different peptides and ectoin. These ingredients are carefully selected to strengthen the skin barrier and improve the tolerance of retinal.

If there are still unwanted reactions such as dryness or skin irritations, the frequency of application of the product can be reduced. For example, it may be considered to use the product only every second or third evening. This allows the skin to gradually get used to the product and minimizes the risk of irritation.

Can I use the retinal product with AHA, BHA, PHA (chemical peelings) on the same evening?

We recommend using the products of the Absolute A series alternately with chemical peelings and not on the same evening. Ideally, you should use the chemical peeling in the evening before the retinal and take a break from active ingredients in the following days.

How often should one use the retinal product?

The most important factor for the effect is the regular application of the product. The frequency can be increased carefully and slowly, depending on skin tolerance, from once a week to daily use.

Can I combine vitamin C and vitamin A products?

Yes, in skincare, vitamin C and vitamin A can be combined. For example, a vitamin C product can be applied under sunscreen in the morning and vitamin A in the evening. Here, too, attention must be paid to one's own skin feeling and the concentration used, as vitamin C, for example in the form of ascorbic acid, can also be irritating. Don't forget: Sunscreen (ideally SPF 50) during the day is mandatory when using vitamin C and vitamin A.

Can I use the retinal product in the summer as well?

The Absolute A Seren can also be used in summer. Particularly, it is important to pay attention to adequate sun protection (ideally at least SPF 50) during the day. If necessary, the application frequency can be reduced in summer (1-2 times per week). Our Absolute A+ Retinal Serum should only be used in the evening in any case.
