3-O-ETHYL ASCORBIC ACID

The chemical compound 3-Ethyl-Ascorbic Acid is a stable vitamin C derivative and is used in cosmetics for its brightening, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and elasticity-enhancing properties. (1,2,3) In a study, an improved epidermal-dermal microstructure and a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles were achieved after application using an emulsion (O/W) with 3% ascorbic acid. (4)
