ASCORBYL PALMITATE

Ascorbyl Palmitate is a stable derivative of Vitamin C, which ensures a supply of Vitamin C to the skin. (1) It is used in skincare products in this fat-soluble form because it is better absorbed into the skin and is more stable than the water-soluble form. (1-3) Ascorbyl Palmitate acts as an antioxidant against free radicals in the skin. (1,2) In clinical studies, ascorbyl palmitate did not cause skin irritation or sensitization. (2)
