VANILLIN
Vanillin is considered a flavor and fragrance with a pleasant vanilla note. The frequency of sensitization to vanillin is considered rare and the sensitization potency is considered weak. In an illustrative risk assessment of cosmetic products with vanillin, 0.5% vanillin was classified as safe. 0.33% vanillin was used in Better Balm, and 0.16% vanillin was used in Hypnotic Hues. (1)
