GLUCONOLACTONE
Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that is valued in skincare for its mild and moisturizing properties. This PHA gently exfoliates the top layer of skin and promotes cell renewal, making the skin appear smoother and more radiant. Compared to other hydroxy acids, gluconolactone is less irritating and therefore ideal for sensitive skin types. In addition, it offers antioxidant benefits. Gluconolactone can contribute to supporting the skin barrier, reducing skin blemishes, and caring for mature skin in cosmetic products.(1-3)
